LGBTQ Minority Metrics

All other minorities are measured to insure that they are not being treated unfairly. However, this is not done for LGBTQ and we are being treated unfairly. The new National Security Personnel System (NSPS) is performance based. It is a process that can be rigged, and for that reason minority status is tracked.

Although NSPS is being disbanded over time in DOD performance based evaluations of annual employee performance will probably be retained. Those employees covered under being part of an Affinity/ Special Emphasis group will be evaluated for fair/ unfair treatment. Presently only in the Department of Defense and not the other agencies/ departments of the Federal government LGBT are not included as an Affinity/ Special Emphasis group.

Not tracking this for LGBTQ employees places them at risk for being treated unfairly, and such treatment is essentially invisible. DOD FED GLOBE is presently working with the DOD to get LGBT included as an Affinity/ Special Emphasis group. Just like we are in the rest of the USA Federal government.

UPDATE

In 2012 the Office of Personnel (OPM) management released a survey throughout the federal government. Not all the agencies and departments participated. The results are anticipated to be released in 2013.
