Time to get organized and begin requesting, meeting, and organizing your local organization and or base's June LGBT Pride in-house.

For many years we have been told "No because LGBT people are not considered members of a special emphasis group." According to the OSD (Office of the Secretary of Defense) Diversity lead with discussions between OSD, OPM (Office of Personnel Management), and DOD FED GLOBE we do NOT have to be "Special Emphasis" to have these events.

Veterans Day Thanks To LGBT Veterans from the DOD FED GLOBE Board

On Veterans Day, it’s a time to give thanks especially to those veterans that are ignored due to discrimination.

Since our community is often under counted it is a conservative estimate that at least 10-20% or 2.3 - 4.6 million veterans are Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) people. All have served this nation well and have received little to no credit for their vast contributions to national value.
