We’ve passed a milestone in our petition campaign to repeal DOMA: 100k signers.

I want to thank you for being one of them.

But you and I both know that the milestone we’re really going for is the day President Obama signs the repeal of this discriminatory law.

That’s going to be a great day -- not just for the same-sex couples who will be closer to true marriage equality, but for all Americans who want to see our country reject bigotry and fear in our laws. It’ll be a day we remember forever.

There will be smaller milestones along the way to that historic day -- and we’ve just reached one of them. But we can’t sit back and applaud ourselves.
