During the African American civil rights movement there came a time where it was recognized by some in the community that boycotts aimed to hurt the wallets of those that put and kept injustice into law was the only way to prove that change was required.
Requesting that all allies and Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) people boycott getting marriage licenses and having marriages in those States where same-sex marriage is illegal. Instead chose from the aforementioned link to get married and a license only in those states and or nations where same-sex marriage is legal. Please ask your friends, family, and neighbors to do the same.
Keep track of all the money spent for your marriage in a same-sex marriage legal zone. Upon completion of your wedding and related events in the same-sex marriage legal zone please send a letter addressed to your State's Governor and your legislative representatives as well as to the Governor or similar leadership where the marriage took place.

That letter should outline how much money you spent in the same-sex marriage legal zone and indicate that you did not spend it, but could have in the State that is anti same-sex marriage. Then cite that this money was lost by that State and related companies, because of its prejudice policies toward all Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) families. That it is wrong to deny equality as promised in the USA Constitution to same-sex couples that wish to have their civil right of marriage implemented.
