I'm a Kings Point graduate working for the DoD making navigation charts for the Navy. I just renewed my deck license. Seems strange to only have something that looks like a passport instead of an actual license that can be displayed on the bridge someplace.

I was at the 2009 Out & Equal Workforce Summit last week where John Berry from the Office of Personnel Management stated that Obama would not sign a new ENDA bill without a trans gender inclusion. Berry called it the most significant civil rights legislation of our generation. Also at O&E was Shar Jones who is employed at the Department of the Interior. She spoke about her transition from male to female. The Agency I work at has several trans gender employees.
